What sets Awakening by the Pool apart is its ability to blend eclecticism and imagination with a sustainable design approach. The space, spanning 320 sq.mt, needed to accommodate the stylish living demands of a young industrialist who desired a loft-style design. The use of exposed bricks, concrete, and wood creates a natural and earthy feel throughout the residence, uplifting the natural qualities of each material.
The design team, consisting of Harsh Boghani, Shailesh Boghani, Vijay Dabhi, Priyank Mistry, Sanket Prajapati, Hardik Dholu, and Lala bhai, focused on utilizing only three materials - concrete, wood, and bricks - in the overall layout. This intentional choice allowed for a cohesive and harmonious design.
With a sustainable design approach, the team incorporated exposed brickwork and polished concrete flooring. This integration of elements not only adds visual interest but also enhances the natural qualities of each material. The result is a residence that exudes a natural and earthy ambiance.
Awakening by the Pool was a two-year project located in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. The design has been recognized for its excellence and creativity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2019. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
